This course will be working out of the book Crochet Granny Squares. Over the course of twelve months we will work through 24 crocheted blocks that will build your crochet stitch repertoire.
At the end of the course, there will be 24 blocks to put together in a sampler afghan, and the crocheter will have learned new skills, techniques, and principles.
This course is for anyone who wants to learn new skills or improve on already learned crochet techniques! Beginning crocheters must already be able to confidently chain and single crochet. This is a great way to meet other crocheters as you journey together through this learning experience.
Each month there will be two sample blocks to look at and handle. There will be a demonstration of the skills needed to complete the blocks and the instructor will check for understanding. However, it is the responsibility of the individual to complete the blocks on their own during the following month. If additional help is occasionally needed, there will be options explained during the first class. Please note that this course is for crocheter who can learn in a class situation. There are videos which will be available to help with any confusion, however, this is not a one-on-one instructional class.
This is a 12 month series. We will be meeting on scheduled Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:00.
Class fee: $130, if buying  your yarn from Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts. If are using your own yarn, the class fee is $160.  The class fee includes instructional lessons once a month, the book, Crochet Granny Squares, access to helpful videos and other goodies when the class starts.
We will be using Berroco Vintage, a worsted weight yarn, to complete this project. You will need size I hook.
There will be a fiber prep class Saturday, April 15, 10:30-12:30. You can stop by during
that time to choose your colors and talk with Raquel, the instructor, about the class.
