Kumihimo Beaded Earring Class

Kumihimo is the ancient art of Japanese braiding. In this class, you will have the chance to braid with beads to make earrings. There will be 3 different sizes of beads and a choice of colors to choose from.  Students do need to already know how to make an 8-strand round (Kongo Gumi) braid and bring a Kumihimo disk and a braid weight to class. Disks and weights are also available at Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts. There will be a selection of beads and beading cords available…and, of course, the end caps and ear wires.

The class costs is $50.
The fee covers:
 The cost of 8 pre-strung strands (4 in each of two colors). White plus student’s choice of blue, purple, orange, black, or gold (if selected not later than the Friday before the class; otherwise selected from the colors the instructor has on hand)
 Jewelry findings (end caps and ear wires)
 Step-by-step instructions to take home
