Carmen Amato, a local Lebanon, TN author, has written a 4 book thriller series about the Galliano Club in New York during Prohibition.
Elizabeth Kay Booth, who also lives in Lebanon, TN, will design both knit and crochet patterns for each book, using colors representing the life and times of the main characters for each book. Carmen, the author, has spotlighted the characters with colors unique to each one.
Cynthia Rice, owner of Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts will have a handwoven pattern available with the unique colors.
Juli Rathbun, indie dyer of Maple and Barley Fiber Co. in Lebanon, TN, will hand dye the yarn specific to the colors for each book.
There will be 3 Stitches & Secrets book club kits, one for each of the Galliano Club historical fiction thrillers! Each Stitches & Secrets kit will contain a Galliano Club book, a QR code for your knit, crochet, or weaving pattern, enough hand dyed yarn to complete the pattern, a project bag made by Juli Rathbun, and themed surprise gifts. Each kit is sold separately.
You will have a choice of 3 different specially dyed Galliano Club custom yarn colors for each kit. Love all the choices? Other Galliano Club colors may be purchased separately.
The Stitches & Secrets book club meet once a month for four months, both in person and on Zoom, to talk about the current kit’s book, share progress on your knit, crochet, or handwoven projects from the designs in the kit, and to reveal the next section of the pattern, along with tips and tricks to help complete it. Each book in the series will have its own registration/pre-order.
Right now, when you register, you will be pre-ordering Stitches & Secrets Kit #1. This includes both Murder at the Galliano Club and the prequel, Road to the Galliano Club, along with the QR code for the pattern and yarn. It will also contain a project bag made by Juli Rathbun, and fun surprises to go along with the books. Pre-orders for the Kit #1 will close Sept. 20, 2024 at midnight.
